We are looking for a reliable and organised Resource Planner to join our Operational team. As Resource Planner you will play a key role in promoting the company’s ethos of delivering high quality and a reliable service. In addition to remuneration package this role includes the opportunity for progression within a fast-growing company.
Key responsibilities
- Scheduling of Crew Members for shifts through our booking system
- Logistics planning for Out-Of-Town jobs
- Stock control of uniform
- First point of contact to Crew ‘out of hours’ on a 5-week rolling rota
Scheduling
The candidate will;
- Be responsible for scheduling crew, where possible 48 hours in
- Spread the crew strength evenly across the region in accordance with Five Star’s ideal crew mix matrix
- Ensure crew consistency on jobs with multiple bookings
- Maximize the crew’s work hours whilst adhering to our health and safety policy
- Relay clear and concise job information
Logistics planning and Fleet Management
The candidate will;
- Allocate drivers and vehicles to Out of Town jobs
- Ensure that the drivers are well rested, have all relevant documentation and have been allowed sufficient travel time between jobs.
- Do routine vehicle inspections and arrange MOT’s and maintenance when necessary
- Report back to the Director of Operations if vehicles are being mistreated by crew
Uniform Stock Control
The candidate will;
- Manage the stock room, inventory spreadsheet and monthly stock take
- Order uniform from suppliers and courier uniform to other Five Star departments
- Document and distribute uniform to crew
Admin
The candidate will;
- Ensure all crew have completed profiles on our scheduling system
- Work closely with the crew manger to create reports on crew performances and allocations
- Cross check locations on our scheduling system
- Any Adhoc duties that may arise
Out of hours
The candidate will;
- Be available to the crew 24 hours a day on a 5-week rotation including weekends
- Allocate any new work that comes in
- Resolve any issues or emergencies that may arise
